The mission of the agency CONICET is to foster and implement scientific and technological activities in the whole territory and areas of knowledge. To this end, the presentation outlines the current situation of female researchers and scientists in Latin America by geographic location, areas, disciplines, and periods of time.

Furthermore, the document displays different actions to be implemented in spirit of achieving gender equality in the field of STI, such as, going beyond maternity leave, creation of an Observatory of gender-based violence and violence at the workplace, inter-institutional articulation as well as other ongoing initiatives
