While adapting activities to the realities of the covid-19 pandemic can be challenging, the Gender STI consortium has demonstrated that it can be done in an effective and rewarding way.
The European Commission’s Gender Action Plan III has marked an ambitious course of action to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in external actions. The plan aims to protect the gains made on gender equality in the last 25 years, which has been threatened by factors such as climate change, migration and the covid-19 pandemic, as well as accelerate progress on international goals.
